Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 9, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information Burnerate (the “Service”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
Account information: when you sign up, we collect your email address and authentication details through Firebase Authentication.
Subscription data: the subscriptions, prices, and related details you add to your account.
Uploaded files: if you use AI analysis, the bank transaction files you upload are processed to detect recurring payments.
Payment information: payments are handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment status but do not collect or store your full card number.
3. How we use information
We use your information to provide and maintain the Service, save and display your subscriptions, process payments, enable optional public profiles, analyze uploaded transactions when you use AI features, and communicate with you about your account.
4. Third-party processors
We share data with service providers only as needed to operate the Service:
Firebase (Google) — authentication and database storage.
Stripe — payment processing.
OpenAI — when you use AI features, the content of uploaded transaction files is sent to OpenAI for analysis. Do not upload data you are not comfortable processing this way.
5. Try mode & local storage
If you use the Service without an account (“Try mode”), your subscription data is stored only in your browser’s local storage and is not sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data removes it.
6. Public profiles
Public profiles are private by default. If you choose to make your profile public, the subscriptions and information on it become visible to anyone with the link. You can make your profile private again at any time.
7. Data retention & deletion
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us, after which we will delete it except where retention is required by law.
8. Cookies & local storage
The Service uses local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as theme, and support try mode. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
9. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
11. Not legal advice
This Privacy Policy is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.
