Terms of Service
Last updated: June 9, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Burnerate (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The service
Burnerate is a tool for tracking subscription expenses. It includes free calculators, the ability to add and organize subscriptions, optional AI-assisted analysis of bank transaction files you upload, and an optional paid public profile.
3. Accounts & eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Authentication is provided through Firebase Authentication.
4. Payments
A one-time payment of $5 USD unlocks a public profile and lets you claim a username. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details. Because the username and public profile are delivered immediately as a digital good, payments are non-refundable. If a username is taken before your payment settles, paid access is still granted and you may choose another handle.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, access it through unauthorized means, infringe others’ rights, impersonate others, or upload unlawful content. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the subscription data and files you provide. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the Service, such as storing your data and, where you use AI features, sending uploaded transaction data to our AI provider for analysis. If you make a profile public, the information on it becomes visible to anyone with the link.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties including Firebase (Google), Stripe, and OpenAI. Your use of the Service is also subject to their respective terms.
8. Not financial advice
Burnerate provides informational tools only. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for your own financial decisions.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Burnerate and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
